Engagement Session on Cape Cod

As soon as I opened the inquiry for Stephanie I knew that I had to photograph these two! She and her fiance, Zach, had just gotten engaged a few days prior and were heading to the Cape for their first family vacation. Stephanie wanted to surprise Zach with an engagement session and I could not have been more excited to work with them!

We started Stephanie and Zach's engagement session at the Sandwich Conservation and then made our way to Boardwalk and Town Neck Beach. Stephanie wore a beautiful blue dress from the client wardrobe, both a personal and client favorite. We laughed, they told me more about their story and just had the best time.

How did you meet?

We met in college in 2016. He was 18 and I was 20 and playing baseball for the college. We immediately were inseparable and moved in together within 5 months of meeting... glad it ended up working out!

Tell me about the Proposal! 

A few weeks ago, Zach took me to brunch in Philadelphia for my birthday. He was acting weird and wasn't eating. I thought he wasn't feeling well. On the way home, there was a sign on the side of the road with my name in big letters. We got out of the car and I saw a big box...I thought he got me a puppy (which I actually didn't want!). Then I saw his mom and my mom hiding in the bushes... even then, I really still thought I was getting a puppy. Then I opened the box and saw the ring!

I cussed a lot, cried a lot, asked if he was serious a lot, then finally said yes. We went back to his parent's house where all our friends and family set up a beautiful surprise engagement party. It was the best day and night of my life! 

Why Cape Cod? 

I chose Cape Cod because it was our first family vacation after the engagement so I thought it would be a special memory to have. It was our first time there and we’re already planning our next trip back.
